Mary Lennox is an unwanted child. Spoilt, bad-tempered and orphaned, she has to go to her uncle of whom she knows nothing. Her uncle, lost in his own miseries, doesn’t want to know much about her either. Mary lives now in a big gloomy house that has a hundred rooms and its secrets are even more. Somebody cries there at night. The only escape from the house are the gardens enclosing it. Walking there, fighting with a wind, Mary starts to change. She becomes stronger and learns what it is – to be happy. But there are mysteries to unravel still. Near the house, there is a secret garden hidden behind the walls. It is connected with some tragedy, mysterious like everything in the estate and probably very beautiful. Mary starts her search of this secret garden; the search that will transform her and all the people around her.
